Grating used as stairtreads is naturally often combined with walkways and access platforms. However it is also often used for fire escapes whether spiral or otherwise.

With such a wide variety of grating types, meshes and depths and therefore respective load capacities available gratings have many advantages over other staircase products.

For any staircase application we can provide the necessary technical expertise in calculating appropriate loads, and spans in order to arrive at the most cost-effective grating options for any project. Individual requirements such as any “heel-proofing” for example in certain applications, will also be taken into account.

We manufacture panels to suit most shapes and sizes and they can be supplied shaped or with cut-outs for almost any customer requirement. Most are hot-dip galvanised in-house.

For industrial use we offer the electro-forge welded grating range with the twisted cross bar and a range of non slip gratings where the bearing bars and/or transverse bars are serrated.

This makes grating suitable for a whole variety of applications including off-shore, petrochem, process plant, water, civil engineering and building as well as all the various architectural flooring applications.

Many of the common (standard) stairtreads are available ex-stock so can be delivered to site very quickly indeed.
